Latinitas Partners with Hispanicize Texas to Produce Special Gen Z Track
HOUSTON, Texas - July 10, 2017 - (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Latinitas, the Austin-based organization that empowers young Latinas using media and technology, announced that they will be organizing a special track for Gen Z attendees of the inaugural Hispanicize Texas event that will take place in Houston, on Saturday July 29th.
The Gen Z sessions will be provided free to girls and boys between the ages of 8-17, who are accompanying their parents or guardians to attend Hispanicize Texas. Spaces are limited so registration is required and participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registered attendees who would like to have their children participate, will need to register them HERE.
"The most exciting part about the Gen Z track in Houston is what the adults will learn!” said Laura Donnelly, Founder, CEO Latinitas. “Latinitas program leaders will be guiding attendees through digital media production lessons and literacy, but today’s youth are usually the first adopters of new technology, which provides them with an innovative edge that they bring to their projects!”
Hispanicize Texas was created to engage digital creators in the Lone Star State, and provide them with the resources to help them to succeed as entrepreneurs and leaders. In addition to the Gen Z track, Hispanicize Texas will also feature a full slate of sessions devoted to digital creators, entrepreneurship and cultural themes that touch the fields of marketing, journalism, and business.
“We’re thrilled to expand our agenda to include sessions that will help empower the next generation of Texas leaders through hands-on activities and inspirational dialogue,” said Angela Sustaita-Ruiz, co-founder of the Hispanicize Media Group that owns Hispanicize Texas.
The confirmed Gen Z sessions include:
Using Social Media for Good / Video P.S.A.s
I Love Me! with Wholly Art
Virtual Reality / 360 Storytelling 101
